How it works

Multi-swarm optimization is an extension of particle swarm optimization where the population is divided into multiple sub-swarms. Each sub-swarm explores a specific area of the search space, aiming to improve efficiency and convergence, especially for problems with multiple optimal solutions. A diversification method determines how and when new sub-swarms are launched.
